Engaging in Social Media
Creating a new social media platform...
Studying is not the only element in my 4-year university life. Inspired by 9GAG, an online social media that allows users to upload and share funny contents with the others, I want to work on something about social media. I have joined HKU Dry Club by chance, a Facebook page that aims to create a "user-generated content" social media for local university students.
HKU Dry Club has got around 44,000 followers on Facebook now. And it posts love story entries submitted by the users regularly. The page admins also write short articles that related to relationship, university lives and social issues. These are appealing to all of the followers. Due to the increasing popularity, it was featured in the local news article.

The success of the campaign...
When the Facebook page awareness has grown steadily, we have a new idea: Selling our own hoodies!
We are responsible for every single step of the whole campaign, from design, promotion to distribution. We understand the Facebook usage habits of our target customers with the help of Facebook Insight. Based on the data, we published posts to boost the sales. Unexpectedly, there were over 500 orders within the first hour of the preordering. And the final selling record is over 3000 pieces. The result is heartening and rewarding.
